Job Responsibilities

DUTIES: Work with marketers, traders, risk managers, project developers, and quantitative analysts to analyze complex market structures, advise in the development of new high margin products and design viable hedging strategies for portfolio management, perform financial analysis required for project finance, and develop quantitative analysis models required in forecasting, structuring, and capital budgeting.

Analyze embedded option products that are offered to PSEG ER&T and contribute in designing new profitable product structures that ER&T can sell to customers for hedging purposes. Directly participate with Regional Marketers on external customer calls in order to understand and address customer needs with transaction structures .

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance or a related field. • Must have 2 years of experience working in energy trading or financial related products. • Must have experience with statistical techniques and the mathematics of option theory. • Must have experience with Excel and programming skills in VBA and Math-related packages such as SPLUS/R or Matlab. • Must have experience with automating pricing processes, developing pricing systems and analysis tools using R or Pyrthon and SQL, preparing valuations of structured transactions and/or M&A opportunities including data analysis and portfolio valuation, quantitative modeling, pulling large amounts of data from multiple databases, performing financial analysis required for project finance, and developing quantitative analysis models required in commodity trading, forecasting, structuring and capital budgeting. • Must have legal authority to work in U.S. EEOE.
