Job Summary

Provide PSEG Operations' Safety Program leadership and implementation by establishing and maintaining accountability for industrial health and safety performance and programs for PSEG divisional territories

Job Responsibilities

•Responsible for division overall safety and health managemnt •Provide technical oversight and expertise to field division operations in interpretation and understanding of new programs •Implement new mythologies and procedures to improve safety, productivity, and operations of the LOB •Participation in accident investigations and determine root cause •Responsible and accountable for improvement in the annual divisional year over year Health and Safety scorecard measures •This position requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, applicants must possess a valid driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driver history •Required to attend and complete professional development safety training

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education, Skills & Competencies

Bachelor's degree
Five year's experience with Electric field operations
Minimum of two years' experience in industrial safety
Must work toward completing Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) training

Desired Education , Skills & Competencies

Two years experience in an Electric utility within a safety environment
Occupational Safety & Health Technician,(OSHT), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), Instructor Certification or other related certifications preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and persuasive interpersonal skills and strong analytical and presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant consensus standards i.e. ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, etc

Strong leadership, adaptability, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, communications, client/customer satisfaction focus skills
