Job Summary

Accomplish annual cyclic area planning tasks on a schedule to support the Office of Planning, Resource and Engineering of the PSEGLI 5 - year Capital Budget Plan. This work includes the development of annual substation and feeder load forecasts; planning and prioritizing major sub-transmission, substation and distribution feeder projects.

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and administrative reviews for technical products and evaluations. Respond to technical inquiries from maintenance and provide responses to support online work. Provide technical support in resolving operating challenges to the station. Lead complex troubleshooting teams and support simple troubleshooting activities to identify the cause of issues and prevent re-occurrence. Provide technical assistance for equipment that does not have specific system owners. Develop emergent engineering modification products to support scheduled work and operational issues. Develop minor modification packages to resolve long standing station issues and upgrade obsolete equipment. Develop and modify calculations to support technical products. Review and give appropriate prioritization to work backlog and protect both the online schedule.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills:
•BS Degree in Engineering (Preferred Civil), with 0 - 10 years of engineering experience. •Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. •Ability to support shift work during refueling outage, forced outages, and access industrial areas of nuclear power plant. •Ability to gain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant. •The candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities and adaptive ways of doing business.

Desired Skills:
•5+ years of Nuclear Power Plant experience. •Experience in troubleshooting and evaluating structural issues. •Experience in designing structural modifications to plant components and systems. •Familiar with INPO AP-913 (Equipment reliability at Nuclear Power Stations) and AP928 (Work Management Process). •Previous RO/SRO license/SRO cert is a plus.
