Job Summary

This position is within PSEG's State Government Affairs team. This position will support the Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility team and report directly to the Director of External Affairs. The position will be based in the General Office (Newark, New Jersey).
Plays a leadership role in investigating and developing solutions to requests. Enhance existing spreadsheets / databases. Collects, summarizes and analyzes various reports and performance measures. Provides timely solutions through direct interaction or by facilitating user teams to develop and modify work process flows. Solicits feedback from users to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. Recommends solutions and develop action plans.
In addition, this position will also serves as the department's business continuity coordinator and will be the lead in preparing OPSEC and Enterprise Risk Management updates.

Job Responsibilities

•Play a leadership role in investigating and developing solutions to requests. Enhance existing spreadsheets/databases. Solicits feedback from users to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. Recommends solutions and develop action plans. •Conducts research and analysis, with an emphasis on policy and political issues at the state or local level. Collects, summarizes and analyzes various reports and performance measures. Provides timely solutions through direct interaction or by facilitating user teams to develop and modify work process flows. •Prepares draft documents and reports (daily, monthly, annually, ad hoc), such as: (i) scorecard updates, (ii) goal development and reporting, and (iii) letters, white papers, memoranda, matrixes, and presentations whose audiences often include senior management or high-ranking public officials. •Serves as the department's business continuity coordinator and will be the lead in preparing OPSEC and Enterprise Risk Management updates. •Directly conduct the internal interface necessary to prepare the documents and reports. On occasion, directly staff the Sr. Vice President-Corporate Citizenship and Senior Director, including for external meetings. Develops and generates ad hoc reports from existing systems that support informational needs of senior management, department personnel, client businesses, and interfacing organizations.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required
•Bachelor's degree required •5+ years relevant work experience providing analytical support •Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. •Basic understanding of SAP applications •Must have and maintain a current driver's license •Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills •Working knowledge of database management •Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and SharePoint •Initiative and problem-solving skills •Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal and leadership skills
Desired
•Graduate degree or project management certification •Experience with business continuity and risk management •Demonstrated ability to work laterally with diverse sets of teams
