Job Summary

Entry level engineering position, with minimum level of experience. Under close supervision of the manager, responsible for performing engineering tasks and components improvements opportunities, as required by the department.

Job Responsibilities

Provide electrical (motors, circuit breakers, cables, etc.) and/or I&C (relays, power supplies, recorders, controllers, transmitters, etc.) components / programs technical direction and administrative reviews of procedures, 50.59 reviews and technical evaluations. Respond to management inquiries and provide responses to key stakeholders, audits and reviews. Review and give appropriate prioritization to work backlog and ensure that component health plans are maintained and effectively drive component health maintenance and improvements. Implement Equipment Reliability Initiatives, including motivating the correct behaviors to promote results-oriented Equipment Reliability and support Plant Outages.

Major Job Duties/Responsibilities- Station's focal point to increase component reliability and performance, reduce operating and maintenance costs and maintain compliance with plant design basis and regulatory requirements when applicable. Ensure components health are maintained to prevent failure though periodically monitoring and preventative maintenance program of components engineering activities are in compliance with facility license, company and government regulations. This individual has ultimate responsibility to ensure that these Components for PSEG Nuclear meet or exceed all regulatory requirements and are achieving / approaching industry best practice.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills:

BS degree in Engineering and 0 - 10 years nuclear industry /commercial plant experience with at least 0 - 5 years in engineering. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiar with BWR plant operations. The candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities and adaptive ways of doing business.

RSRPSEG

Desired Skills:

Greater than five years experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering; Familiar with BWR Plant Operations; Experience in multiple nuclear plant engineering disciplines (i.e. systems, design, programs, and procurement); Current or Previous NRC SRO License or certification; ability to manage projects and /or external vendors, familiar with INPO AP-913 (Equipment reliability at Nuclear Power Stations) and AP928 (Work Management Process). Familiar with INPO Components Engineering / Equipment Reliability expectations and the ability to drive site improvement to achieve sustained excellent performance (industry top quartile performance).
