Job Responsibilities

The Technical Specialist (or Principal Nuclear Engineer)** in Corporate Programs Engineering - ISI/ Repair/ Replacement and welding in Engineering Services provides governance and oversight for all programs (ISI/ Repair/ Replacement and welding) at Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. This individual will be the PSEG Nuclear Engineering Corporate Program Engineer (CPE) for all ISI/ Repair/ Replacement and welding engineering programs. The CPE will define the methods and practices for these programs to the levels that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards and results in industry leading performance at Salem and Hope Creek.

The Corporate Program Engineer also:

• Provides support to the sites on complex and strategic program and process issues.
• Performs thirds party reviews of technical documents.
• Provides strategy and support for special programmatic inspections by regulators and industry.
• Supports complex engineering analysis and technical issues beyond the capabilities of the sites.
• Maintains expertise on equipment important to the sites.
• Supports common projects affecting both sites as part of business and project planning.
• Supports resolution of industry issues that affect both sites.
• Represents PSEG Nuclear, leads, and influences decision-making at the industry level.
• Provides oversight and recommendations for routine program assessments, outage readiness and preparation for outside organizational assessments (i.e., INPO).
• Benchmarks industry best and incorporates learnings into programs/processes.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum of 15 years nuclear industry experience, with minimum of ten years related to ISI/ Repair/ Replacement and welding or program engineering. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility with changing priorities and changing ways of doing business. Must meet Nuclear's requirements for unescorted site access.

Desired:

SRO license or certification, System Engineering Certification, PE license, advanced technical degree.
