Job Summary

Responsible for providing detailed administrative functions and/or assigned tasks that require specialized technical skills, training and application for the Plant Support Group.

Job Responsibilities

Records Management Technical Clerk supports the Quality Assurance Records program. Position is responsible for performing functions that support compliance with regulatory requirements (receipt, maintenance, storage, retrieval and access) defined for Records and Controlled Documents.

Position requires utilizing Electronic Document and Record Management System (EDRMS) for all aspects of Records and Design Configuration Control data. Adhere to specific information handling practices (i.e. confidential, restricted and proprietary information). Performing independent administrative reviews and processing of detailed documentation (i.e., calculations, drawings, design change documents, vendor documents, procedures, etc.). Perform high volume scanning, verification and indexing of hardcopy documents; creating quality electronic images for retention as electronic records.

Position requires strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written); communicating administrative and technical Records Management information to varied audiences (peers, customers, management, etc.). Individual must have the skills necessary to articulate the RM/DC processes and be able to provide detailed training as needed. May be required to write, review and maintain department procedures/job aids defining Records Management functions.

Demonstrate reliable, consistent and quality results. Identify and resolve issues independently; utilizing corrective action processes as appropriate while meeting established production levels. Position requires performing assessments of records and controlled document collections at multiple locations inside and outside of Salem/Hope Creek Stations. This requires the ability to traverse various locations of the site.

Must be able to work professionally as part of a team, independently, and/or in a leadership role as necessary to complete the full range of assigned tasks. Strong detail oriented individual with demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments within defined time requirements.

Position may require working off hours or alternate schedule as necessary to support the needs of the stations and to support the Emergency Response Organization.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience in direct support of Records Management & Document Control Programs in a regulated environment. (Experience must relate to use of supporting systems such as EDRMS, scanning software and office equipment).
• Experience and background to include reviewing and processing various document and record types, including proper handling of sensitive or confidential information.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Ability to read technical instructions and follow specific keyboard tasks.
• Must be capable of performing repetitious work in a team environment proficiently.
• Must be capable of lifting ~35lb boxes daily in confined work area (RM Vault and processing company mail)
• Must have ability to traverse to various locations of the plants as assigned.
• Excellent availability/attendance record to support weekend, back/mid shift coverage as assigned, support Emergency Plan and Outages as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to meet and maintain unescorted access qualifications.

Desired Skills:

• Records Management background; including ability to research and apply regulatory requirements to the Quality Assurance Records program; specifically maintaining retention schedules and file plans.
• Associates Degree
• RM Certification(s)
• Availability to support benchmarking initiatives.
