Job Summary

This is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 3-5 years based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 3 years of assignment. From year 4 through the end of your assignment, Director level approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

Job Responsibilities

•Manage inventory to Demand and month on hand target.
• Manage assigned category of materials and perform analysis for forward looking material forecast.
• Work closely with asset management and electric and gas storerooms to establish the needs and ensure the material fulfillment.
• Act as primary interface for between divisions and vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of material.
• Manage MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) output to find opportunities for avoided purchases.
• Forecast Inventory impacts based on construction, operating, & maintenance requirements.
• Manage inventory catalog for accuracy and format.
• Develop and maintain a team approach with client population.
• Ensure proper reorder signals and lead time accuracy
• Provide relevant levels of management with in-depth performance reports.
• Execute detailed analyses of quantitative performance indicators and functional practices. Draw conclusions, and offer management recommendations for improvement.(Vendor KPIs)
• Support and manage change management needs for Inventory/Warehouse OEM procedures. Assure alignment with the Sox controls, OEM procedures, and the assessment process.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 5-10 years' experience in Supply Chain (preferred) or equivalent experience in dealing with vendors.
• 1-3 years' experience with Audit or Sox.
• Proven analytical capabilities demonstrated through academic or job experiences.
• Computer proficiency working with MS Office suite, database programs, and spreadsheet applications.
• Valid driver's license for travel to Field locations.

Desired :

• MBA or an equivalent Graduate Degree and/or APICS - CPIM and CSCP Certification.
• Understanding of Materials Planning Analytical models
• Understanding of work management systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of inventory management methodology and performance analysis techniques.
• Proficient in the use of SAP Materials Management module.
• Knowledge of Materials Management for Utility Industry
