Job Summary

This position will report to, and is responsible for working with, the Director - RTO Strategy to develop strategy, shape rules and advocate on behalf of PSE&G's transmission business, primarily in PJM Interconnection, LLC (PJM). This position has responsibility for external interfaces with PJM management, with other PJM Transmission Owners and with relevant trade and industry groups such as EEI and WIRES to advance PSE&G's business interests. PSE&G currently has a $10B transmission rate base. This position will represent the company's interests at various RTO committees and Task Force efforts as well as in meetings and initatives with other PJM transmission owners consistent with shared obligations codified in the Consolidated Transmission Owners Agreement. The position will serve as a back-up for the Director - RTO Strategy in internal and external meetings regarding any transmission policy issues affecting the company.

Although primarily focused on transmission strategy and the PJM interface, this position will also collaborate on RTO strategy affecting Enterprise, and will regularly interface with other business units, including PSEG ER&T, PSE&G Electric T&D, PSE&G Asset Management, PSE&G Electric Operations, and PSE&G Renewables & Energy Solutions (RES).

Job Responsibilities

•Represent PSE&G's interests at various committees and Task Force efforts in PJM and interface with PJM management as well as management from other transmission companies and stakeholders to advance the business interests of PSE&G's transmission business. •Work with Director - RTO Strategy to develop strategy for PSE&G's transmission business, which will include advocacy/rules-shaping activities in the various RTOs and ISOs (with an emphasis on PJM) and communicating information regarding proposed RTO policy and rule changes and potential business implications to PSEG management. Also support, as needed, Director - PJM Markets Strategy in engaging in advocacy/rules shaping activities on behalf of Enterprise and PSEG Power. •Assist with managing relationship between PSEG and PJM. In coordination with Utility Finance, this relationship management will include PJM transmission owner and stakeholder bodies responsible for administration of transmission rate design and revenue recovery provisions in the PJM Open Access Transmission Tariff. Working with other transmission owners and building coalitions and advocacy in support of PSEG positions on transmission policy issues. •Represent PSE&G's transmission business interests through participation in industry advocacy organizations, trade groups and lobbying coalitions. •Speak at industry conferences and engage in networking activities on behalf of the company in order to advocate for our positions and gain intelligence that will help inform PSE&G transmission strategy and overall Enterprise RTO strategy. •Serve as a back-up for the Director - RTO Strategy in internal and external meetings regarding any transmission policy issues affecting the company

Job Specific Qualifications

Required
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Political Science, Engineering or related field. •Strong organizational and "issues tracking skills" •Minimum 7 years' experience with energy regulatory issues, preferably in RTO/ISO context. •Significant knowledge of transmission policy, operations/commercial, rates and/or planning issues. •Excellent oral advocacy and presentation/communication skills •Willingness to take initiative and "project manage" issues from start to finish; ability to work independently on complex issues •Ability to work well with multiple groups in a large organization and facilitate dialogue and issue resolution •Willing to travel •Must have valid driver's license
Desired
•Significant experience with RTO/ISO stakeholder processes.
