Job Summary

Part of Reporting and Analytics team that supports HR strategy and process for PSEG's employee population. Provide Project Management, Process, and Operational support for people initiatives focused on driving operational excellence. Provide overall thought leadership and help execute people strategies. Recommend continuous improvements to analytics that best support PSEG's business strategies.

This role is accountable for using analytics to inform and monitor progress against metrics, goals, and other strategic initiatives. Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to influence talent strategies through data-driven assessments of current and future initiatives. Lead efforts to automate data extraction where possible to reduce manual efforts and improve efficiencies of data retrieval.

Job Responsibilities

• Acts as trusted advisor to clients, providing consultative services on analytics to support business needs. Proactively consults with internal clients to determine business needs, and develops critical insights and analysis in support of business priorities and projects (including, but not limited to: report generation, ad-hoc reporting, dashboard creation, and advanced data analysis)

• Work with HR data to support both internal assigned clients as well as operational processes using data from a wide range of areas (Talent, Reward, Safety, Diversity, surveys, employee engagement, etc.) from multiple systems

• Develop a full and detailed understanding of human resources data available across the enterprise, including familiarity with all systems involved in data maintenance. Develop the expertise to access data, report from all platforms, and then consolidate data into meaningful reports/presentations. Make recommendations to improve the type and quality of data available.

• Function as a primary analytics and reporting consultant for the HR function by 1) Developing standard reports; 2) Designing, running and maintaining ad hoc queries; 3) Maintaining data integrity through consistent monitoring, testing, and auditing of HR data.

• Make recommendations to the HR Senior Leadership Team regarding HR's analytics and reporting strategy, including metrics & analytics, and HR's data governance best practices

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years relevant professional experience, or without a degree, 8 - 10 years of professional equivalent business experience. • 5+ years' experience effectively analyzing and synthesizing large amounts of complex data into relevant insights • Strong understanding of database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools • Strong knowledge of statistical methods in the areas of modeling and analytics • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills, including ability to communicate analytics to a non-technical audience • Demonstrated ability to analyze correlations between program metrics and HR data • Solid project management skills • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MS-Excel macros, statistical tools, Power Point, SAP BW
