Job Summary

This is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 2-3 years based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 2 years of assignment. From year 3 through the end of your assignment, if business conditions allow, Director level approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

Job Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the Geographic Information System (GIS) Digital Mapping System that includes the timely update of critical and/or Higher Than Normal Customers, new Gas Developments, and other distribution gas facilities. • Review, revise and 2nd level approve records in the Delivery Work Management System (DWMS)/SAP to allow proper closure to jobs and ensure data integrity. • Prepare and maintain maps for replacement main projects, cast iron breaks, corrosion and leak survey in GIS. • Work within a project team to design, build, test, and rollout GIS upgrades and major system changes. • Create test plans and perform system testing for enhancements/system issues. • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the GIS platform and GIS maintain processes. • Work with Performance Measurement Analysts to develop/modify process flows. • Audit asset and inspection data for policy compliance and QA/QC. • Perform end user support for GIS viewer and GIS editor support. • Support the GIS mobile environment for Meter Inspections, Valves, Regulators, and Cathodic Protection. • Create on demand maps, spatial queries and studies as required. • Update and maintain Gas Geospatial procedures as required.

Job Specific Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 0-4 years GIS experience • Excellent teamwork skills. • Must have knowledge of SAP, GIS, MDTA's • Proficient in MS Office products • Excellent verbal and communication skills • Knowledge of construction practices • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's license. • Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity • Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices • Knowledge of Gas Distribution procedures and drafting terminology. • Additional training or specialty in drawing and drafting techniques. • CAD experience
