Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the coordination of all Radiation Protection / Chemistry accredited training activities/programs by providing radiation protection / chemistry oversight/assessments and technical guidance. Coordinate with Radiation Protection / Chemistry to implement and maintain accredited training programs to meet regulatory requirements. Develops training materials and conducts training.

Assist adjunct instructors in the development of lesson material. Monitor TSD and accreditation renewal. Manage training intranet and VISION database. Assist line management in oversight of OJT/OJE activities for qualifications.

Perform self -assessments, benchmarking, and observations to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Partner with Radiation Protection / Chemistry line management to manage, govern and monitor the training programs.

Assist in providing Access Training for Site. Support refueling outages as assigned.

Job Specific Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (ANSI/ANS 3.1-1981).

5 years' experience in Radiation Protection / Chemistry/Engineering and/or training at a commercial nuclear power plant, naval nuclear propulsion plant or another similar industry and have knowledge commensurate with the position being sought (RP/Chemistry/Engineering).

Good oral and written communication skills.

Must meet Nuclear's requirements for un-escorted plant access.

Prior classroom experience desired.
