Job Summary

This is a Work Experience Program (WEP) Temporary position designed to support the department for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the position is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of at least 12 months based on business needs at the present time, following which there will be a possibility to convert the individual from a Temporary At-Will Employee to Regular At-Will Employee. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this WEP employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 12 months of assignment. If your WEP position ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

This is a multi-level growth series position (Business Support Specialist, Grade Level 26/Process Analyst, Grade Level 27); placement is dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate. The below duties and responsibilities will vary based on assignments.

This position supports Electric Vehicle program delivery through a combination of internal and external resources to meet program goals. Provide analytical and program implementation support for Electric Vehicle programs. This includes working with third party vendors to deliver programs to market; the development, preparation and analysis of operational reports; development of procedures/process improvements; technical support and expertise to process owners. Expectations will vary based upon the level of the position in this growth series.

Job Responsibilities

At the Business Support Specialist Level:

Provide program implementation and analytical support for Electric Vehicle programs. Support program development process by assessing other detailed offerings of related programs so that they can be incorporated into the plan, through development and launch; and subsequent enhancements and offerings. Collaborates with other functional groups throughout the Company to ensure program offerings are delivered to market according to specifications and approved Company policies and procedures. Support the development, maintenance, data collection, analysis and preparation for weekly and monthly operational reports. Develop and maintain databases to support program operations. Develop and generate ad-hoc reports and operational/financial reports from existing systems, including but not limited to SAP and the program management and reporting program. Lead or support new program development initiatives, including process design, process improvement and systems design. Lead or support process improvement initiatives based on scorecard gaps and monitoring assessments. Develop and prepare various management reports, internal audits, spreadsheets and charts of key program and departmental processes and metrics. Gather and link data from diverse sources to identify data driven improvement opportunities. Represent the department on various cross-functional teams. Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures, project status, etc. Prepare PowerPoint presentations to summarize analyses and recommendations.

At the Process Analyst Level: All of the above as well as: Play a leadership role in the development, recommendation and implementation of new procedures/process improvements, often via cross-functional teams. Prepare status reports for management, developing and delivering appropriate communication materials. Provide technical expertise and support to process owners. Drive efficiency and process improvement, utilizing leadership skills, data analysis and strong understanding of the business strategies. Foster the refinement, understanding and enhanced utilization of process measures and benchmarking. Work with outside vendors to oversee development of long range plans, potential studies, program evaluation, and special projects, as needed.

Job Specific Qualifications

Business Support Specialist (Required)
• BS/BA degree or 1+ years of relevant work experience: business/financial analysis experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills; strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and PC skills
• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity; Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives and approaches

Business Support Specialist (Desired)*:

• All of the above plus:
• Additional 1 ½ years' relevant work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Electric Vehicle programs, processes and practices
• Ability to present written and oral work product clearly and concisely
• Advanced level of Excel experience
• Proficient in creating and maintaining databases in either Excel or Access

Process Analyst (Required):

• All of the above plus:
• 5+ years relevant work experience including business/financial modeling experience,
• Experience in database management
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills

Process Analyst (Desired):

• Knowledge of Business Warehouse, SAP, Access, Sharepoint,
• Knowledge of utility tariffs and accounting
• Demonstrated high level of knowledge of Electric Vehicle programs, processes and practices
• Drive efficiency and process improvement through knowledge of continuous improvement tools
• Experience in managing external vendors
