This is a Work Experience Program (WEP) Temporary position
designed to support the department for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the position is yet to be determined,
we currently anticipate a period of at least 12 months and up to 18 months based on business needs at the present time, following
which there will be a possibility to convert the individual from a Temporary At-Will Employee to Regular At-Will Employee.
It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point
you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this WEP employment is of a limited duration
and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director
Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 18 months of assignment.
If your WEP position ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other
PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the
end date of the assignment.
Provide Asset Management support for the engineering, design, evaluation, specification
and documentation of new and existing outside plant overhead and underground equipment, including safety, reliability, and
functional performance requirements. Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to all electric field divisions
on complex engineering problems. Work will require reporting to various field locations and job sites as required.
Required:
• B.S. in Engineering (Obtained by June 30, 2021)
• 0-2 years of Electric/Gas Utility Plant/Operations/
Construction experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Demonstrated ability to work
well in a team environment
• Possess leadership skills, professionalism and customer/client focus
• Must
have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and results-oriented.
• Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
• Must be willing to work OT as required and perform
on-call/emergency support as needed
• Strong computer skills in MS Office applications
• Must foster an
inclusive work environment and respects/encourages all aspects of diversity
• Must demonstrate and value differences
in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.
Desired Qualifications:
• B.S Electrical
Engineering (obtained by June 30, 2021)
• Electrical utility experience• Familiarity with substation equipment
and operations
• Able to read/understand electrical one lines
• Experience with outage planning
•
Experience with contingency planning
• Working knowledge of protective relay schemes and applications
As an

functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
