Job Summary

This is Temporary Work Experience Program (WEP) position. Only candidates from PSEG's Strategic Diversity Sourcing Partners and pipelines(e.g. PSEG Internship Program) areeligible to apply. All other applicants will be disqualified.

This is a Work Experience Program (WEP) Temporary position designed to support the department for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the position is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period ofupto12 months basedon business needs at the present time, following which there will be a possibility to convert the individual from a Temporary At-Will Employee to Regular At-Will Employee. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this WEP employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first12months of assignment. If your WEP position ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

Customer Operations supporting Utility Marketing and Customer Communications - Develop plans, create content, and implement campaigns to achieve forecasts and goals for various programs and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for external communications
  • Develops and directs marketing/lead generation/customer communication campaigns based on marketing forecasts and/or program goals
  • Executes direct marketing/lead generation campaigns to achieve set sales targets and/or program goals
  • Manages costs associated with campaigns; develops and assures implementation of strategies to reduce costs and maximize budgets
  • Manages key vendors, suppliers, agencies to assure optimal campaign development, execution, measurement and budget performance
  • Gather content from various sources to ensure clear and accurate communications
  • Coordinate corporate sponsorships to leverage relationships for positive customer perception
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for approval of content


Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing/Advertising, or Business plus minimum five years of professional experience in Communications or Marketing
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word and Excel and advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills


Desired Qualifications:
  • MBA or Advanced Degree.
  • Prior experience working with integrated marketing/communications plans and media campaigns and writing content
  • Knowledge of utility customer facing processes such as Customer Inquiry, Media, Website Services
  • Knowledge of Energy Efficiency
