Job Summary

This position is an experienced, hands-on technical lead, performing IT security functions, especially responsible for all enterprise security awareness initiatives. Works under the direction of security leadership to drive effective security awareness through all business units. The role requires technical aptitude and business acumen for improving the overall security posture of the organization. The candidate works with multiple areas to develop methods for raising awareness, providing education and measuring outcomes indicating employee behavioral change.

This position is also responsible for information security policy alignment. The candidate will lead the creation and implementation of enterprise cyber security policies on an automated continuous compliance platform. This position is highly collaborative one that includes the engagement of company-wide business and technology partners. The individual is the cyber risk subject matter expert providing support to stakeholders; assumes appropriate administrative, project management, team lead, and/or supervisory responsibilities as delegated by superiors; and performs other related duties as assigned.

The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with all levels, from executive and business unit leadership to staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements for security awareness are met.
• Create innovative security awareness campaigns using solution provider and custom-developed tools designed to be flexible and adaptable across a diverse employee population (executives, engineering, sales, finance, customer service, etc.). Create baseline foundational campaigns required for all employees, but also adapt and tailor campaigns to focus on role-specific requirements.
• Leverage multiple delivery methods (e.g., print, video, in-person, gamification, social and computer-based training) to accommodate different employee comprehension capabilities.
• Align the security awareness program with the enterprise's greatest risks and measure the impact in risk reduction.
• Generate and execute strategic vision designed to reduce employee, contractor and third-party risk.
• Align employee education with the security incident response plan and team for additional actionable internal intelligence.
• Produce periodic, high-quality reports illustrating program status, areas for improvement and success attributes aligning to the business.
• Develop and maintain security awareness policies.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable cyber defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents specifically related to cyber defense auditing.
• Analyze, develop and handle information security policies and standards in alignment with company requirements, making recommendations and driving changes as required
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a continuance compliance framework using a state-of-the-art automated GRC platform coupled with a variety of systems of record
• Align policies and standards with broad portfolio of compliance obligations, in accordance with a company-wide Common Control Framework (CCF)
• Identify gaps and conflicts in policy governance structure and make recommendations to address them
• Collaborate on cyber privacy and security policies and procedures.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Engineering or related discipline i.e. STEM with a minimum of 4 years of experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 7 years' experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a strong team environment, constantly teaching and learning from other team members.
• Proven ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements.
• Technical experience includes: information / data / network / computer security design, administration and/or assessment.
• Broad knowledge of information systems including Windows security, network security, systems development, communication networks, security software/hardware and operating systems.
• Experience with key information security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability assessment, encryption, identity and access control systems, anti-malware, and security event analysis.
• Maintains a solid working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices.
• Must be able to travel approximately 5% to various locations
• Must possess a valid U. S. driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
• NERC CIP position, requires NERC CIP background investigation prior to start

Desired:
• Security certifications in incident response, cyber investigation, forensics, or threat hunting.
• Programming Experience in Python
