Job Summary

The Associate to Senior Engineer Nuclear will provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. Monitor, trend, and assess systems and components to improve reliability. Establish system performance for designated electrical systems, identify and prioritize correction actions to ensure system safety, reliability, and availability. Scope long term asset managemeny strategies and life cycle management. Lead cross-function teams to resolve system performance issues. Ensure complaince with design/license basis.

The title and market reference point assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience from the interview.

Job Responsibilities

At Associate level:

  • Perform as required, simple engineering tasks for department.
  • Perform as assigned, minor portions of projects, procedure revisions, etc.
  • Perform outage support work and Emergency Response duties



Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering

• 0 or moreyears of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering and /or equivalent experience performing work in system, design, strategic planning, or component engineering.

• Ability to support shift work during refueling outage, forced outages, and access industrial areas of nuclear power plant.

• Ability to gain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

** The title and position in range percentage assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience from the interview process

Desired Qualifications:

7+ years of Nuclear Power Plant experience working in electrical design, emergent response/engineering Fix-it-Now Teams, or plant engineering.

• Understanding of NERC/FERC requirements, Generator Systems, Transformers, Maintenance Rule, PWR Electrical System Design, and the Taproot failure analysis process.

• SRO license or certification preferred. MS or PE.
