Job Summary

This position is an entry level role performing IT security functions and maintaining systems. This position prepares candidates for advanced information technology positions through challenging assignments, and allows them to develop their skills and launch an exciting career in cyber security. Support PSEG information security program and help ensure regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., NERC CIP) to achieve and maintain compliance and establish appropriate protections for the company's information systems, infrastructure and data as well as testing controls, vulnerability and penetration testing, risk assessments, training and awareness across the company.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages information security technologies
• Provides technical expertise in vulnerabilities/risk assessments
• Reviews and implement cloud security initiatives
• Participates in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques to ensure compliance with regulations (NERC CIP, SOX)
• Follows cyber security news and alerts, understands complex attack vectors and risks, and identifies and evaluates emergent cyber security threats and vulnerabilities

Job Specific Qualifications

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or 2 years of work experience in IT
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated continuous process improvement techniques.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills and sound decision-making skills and business judgment.
• Knowledge of IT, networking, and IP protocol concepts
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
• Must pass the NERC CIP background investigation prior to start
