Job Title: Dir Application Products and Svcs Grade 31 Job Summary This position is a direct report to the Managing Director Information Systems. The Director is responsible for the production operation, enhancements and strategy roadmaps of enterprise wide applications managed by the department and ensures timely, cost effective, and quality completion of production service requests, incidents, and minor enhancements. The Director oversees all facets of Service Level Agreement management and is accountable to attain first quartile, benchmark-driven results. Creates strong partnerships with peers including, but not limited to, Infrastructure Services, Workplace Services, Project Services, Technology Business Management and business functions to operate a stable, scalable, and responsive application portfolio. Manages the relationships with strategic vendors providing application outsourcing services. Introduces industry best practices and follows IT Software Delivery Lifecycle, CMMI, SOX and all other compliance requirements. Job Responsibilities Direct, coach and counsel IT resources (internal and external) in the development and operational support of all IT production solutions. Interface with business areas to manage enhancements and service requests, break-fix and escalations. Ensure performance, reliability, and all other SLA requirements are met for the applications and service offerings. Maintain customer satisfaction statistics and lead periodic SLA and operations review with company leadership. Overseeing the ‘seamless’ introduction of new applications from development into the production environment, including elements like cutover, documentation, monitoring, configuration, scalability & performance requirements, and knowledge transfer. Identify opportunities to improve or expand coverage, cost or quality of provided IT services. Develop and manage department’s capital and O&M budgets and effect annual adherence to plan. Manage relationships with application outsourcing and project development providers and ensure that quality and value expectations are consistently achieved. Maintain a keen awareness of evolving industry best practices, vendor performance, new technology solutions, and apply to production support functions. Manage the ongoing development of IT staff and establish a high performing team with a passion for aggressive pursuit of excellence, and first quartile performance. Ensure that project teams are compliant with IT’s Software Delivery Life Cycle, SOX, CMMi and other process requirements. Included in process compliance is supervising that all hand offs between Application Support and other functions (IT and Business) are properly executed. Job Specific Qualifications Required: • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Science, Engineering, Math or similar field • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading Application Support or Development • Experience in managing large teams both internal and external resources • Strong best practice knowledge of ERP applications • Experience in a leadership role supporting large scale, multi-vendor, ERP landscapes • Experience in a leadership role implementing and supporting enterprise-scale systems required to operate a large enterprise • Experience in delivering large scale projects using various delivery models including Agile and waterfall • Track record of metric-based operational improvements • Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic fast-paced environment, and make sound decisions during operational events • Proven ability to create a culture of operational excellence centered on business results and continuous improvement • Experience managing deep business partnerships with software and IT services providers in outsourced environments • Strong process discipline in a continuous improvement environment (e.g. CMMi, ITIL, Six Sigma, TPS, Lean) • Demonstrated capabilities in leadership, innovation, problem solving, influencing, organizing, and relationship 7/15/2021 Job Description Print Preview https://hcm20.ns2cloud.com/xi/ui/rcmcommon/pages/jobReqPrintPreview.xhtml?drawButtons=true&jobID=67419&isExternal=false&jobReqPreviewSe… 2/2 building, strategic thinking, project management, change management • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with senior leaders • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and ability to present technology topics in a user-friendly language.
