Job Summary

Responsibility for the IT financial operations of the PSEG LI IT department reporting to the Director of Project Services. Oversight of the $90 million PSEG LI IT Capital Budget & $70 million PSEG LI IT Operating Budget

Job Responsibilities

  • Define overall IT financial standards, processes, policies, and reporting dashboards and ensure that all expenditure in the IT organization are performed in a coordinated, structured, and well-documented manner
  • Manage and develop IT financial management staff and/or contractors
  • Lead the development of the Capital and Operating Yearly Budgets
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting requirements to Accounting/Finance/Outside Entities
  • Oversee the Vendor Management Office, including the creation of a master vendor list, sourcing activities and contract management and negotiation

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field and/or an MBA
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT financial processes and standards
  • Expertise in IT performance management metrics / KPIs and ability to identify improvement opportunities and initiatives to optimize IT performance and cost
  • Expert in interpreting and communicating technical information in business language and vice versa
  • Ability to present Executive Level Presentations via PowerPoint
  • Ability to arrange, manipulate and report on large amounts of data
  • Expert in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.)
  • Comprehension of IT CAPEX and OPEX concepts, SOP 98

Desired

  • Experience in Service Now, Clarity, Plainview, HP PPM, Smartsheet or similar PPM Toolsets
  • Exposure to Ariba, Apptio and/or SAPThinks strategically with a focus on business value; able to develop strategies while incorporating a broad organizational perspective
  • Makes decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information
  • Identifies inspiring goals and objectives, then motivates and leads others towards them
  • Working in or alongside a structured PMO
  • Utility industry experience
