Job Responsibilities

Corporate Engineer: Maintenance Rule, MSPI, Surveillance Frequency Control Programs

The Engineer provides PSEG Nuclear leadership and direction to position the applicable functional area as a top industry performer by executing the management model and performing the governance, oversight, support and perform (GOSP) role for Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating stations for the maintenance rule, surveillance frequency control, MSPI and Enterprise Risk programs. Develops and maintains standards, programs and processes using industry guidelines and best practices. Monitors engineering performance and initiates actions to ensure high standards. Using knowledge of industry standards of excellence, site policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements, identifies performance gaps and provides feedback to the station through the use of observations, assessments, and deep dive analysis. Using alliances in industry working groups and INPO guidelines and performance objectives & criteria, identifies and implements industry best practices using the excellence planning process. Through fleet Peer Team engagement, drives consistency across the nuclear fleet. Supports the Corporate Functional Area Manager (CFAM) function by participating in fleet conference calls and challenge review meetings. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards and results in industry leading performance at Salem and Hope Creek.

This is a multi-level growth series position ( Grade 25/26/27/28 ). The title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process, as they meet the criteria defined below.

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIRED: BS degree in Engineering. Minimum of 0-5 years nuclear industry experience directly related to implementing Maintenance Rule program. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility with changing priorities and changing ways of doing business. Must meet Nuclear's requirements for unescorted site access. The successful candidate must also be able to meet the requirements of Emergency Preparedness Organization (ERO) member.

** The title and grade level assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience from the interview process.

DESIRED: System Engineering Certification. Experience with MSPI and Surveillance Frequency Control programs. Knowledge of the Enterprise Risk Process.

Demonstrated leadership skills.
