Job Summary

The Renewables and Energy Solutions (RES) organization identifies, plans, and implements a portfolio of programs that support New Jersey’s Clean Energy Vision.  This portfolio currently includes Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles, and Solar. This role supports the Data Analytics and Executive Reporting team, and the primary responsibility will be the management, development, and execution of reports for a variety of audiences including RES senior leadership, executives, and general RES assembly. Successful candidate will work in a cross functional team and analyze program data, create comprehensive reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports for a variety of audiences including RES senior leadership, executives, and general RES assembly.  
  • Support the development, maintenance, data collection, analysis and preparation for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other RES members, Customer Care, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, etc. as required
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible
  • Develop and maintain databases/spreadsheets to support program operations.  
  • Assist with special projects as necessary
  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree and 5+ years relevant work experience including business/financial experience.  In lieu of a degree, 9 years relevant work experience and High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior audiences
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in report development and data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data  sets and derive meaningful insights 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, etc.) 

Desired:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (PowerBI, SQL) and familiarity with relational databases 
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Prior experience in Energy Efficiency
