Job Summary

DUTIES : Perform advanced and complex on-premise and cloud systems administration of PSEG Long Island infrastructure. Work in an Agile/DevOps model as a team supporting various business groups and emerging technologies. Proactively manage, support and maintain core Windows/Linux on VMware systems, establish OS build standards. Create, maintain and manage group policies for domains across the PSEG Long Island IT infrastructure. Maintain Patching environment for Windows/Linux Servers and VMware hosts. Manage user administration and ensure environment security and stability. Assessment, analysis, escalation, and resolution of system problems and/or malfunctions. Respond and manage all system generated events, alerts, warnings for all supported platforms. Work with security team and vendor to provide remediation to vulnerabilities. Provide appropriate corrective action and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions. Forecasts system demands, recommends upgrades, expansion and reconfiguration. Maintain enterprise end-point protection and security software's such as Symantec End Point, Carbon Black. Manage security certificates and encryption keys on all supported platforms, specific to coordinating renewal of certificates & encryption keys, on expiry, as per PSEG guidelines. Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical resources as well as monitor and resolve service issues within published SLAs. Participates in site set-up, user training, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures.

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Information Sciences or related technical field. Must have 6 years of IT experience in an enterprise operational environment. Must have experience with each of the following: enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, MS Exchange, WSUS, GPO's, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite; and administrative scripting using appropriate languages (Powershell, CLI, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.). Must have legal authority to work in U.S. EEOE.
