Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

The successful candidate will perform as a member of the Asset Reliability team in Electric and Gas Asset Strategy within the Asset Management and Centralized Services organization, utilizing a broad knowledge of business and engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.

Job Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include the data driven development of reliability improvement programs including needs justification, feasibility and financial analysis and providing the engineering expertise for Outside Plant Electric and Inside Plant Electric programs.

Project management responsibilities include developing business cases for projects linked to strategic and financial plans; evaluating technical and operational requirements; developing conceptual models and performing feasibility studies; cost estimation; evaluating program cost and impact

Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.

Productively interact with internal and external multi-disciplined customers, contractors, agencies, and engineers. Provide problem solving services in handling conflicts between PSE&G facilities and others.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
•BS in Engineering •A minimum of 8 years of utility experience •Demonstrated experience working with data related to electrical substations and/or outside plant electric distribution and/or transmission facilities •Applicant must have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and be results-oriented. •Clear and concise writing and verbal communications skills are essential. •Must be proficient in SQL as well as MS Excel and Access. •Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. •Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity. •Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.

Desired:
•Advanced technical training or P.E. License •Familiarity with utility best practices, IEEE, ASME, NESC and NEMA Standards. •Candidate requires knowledge of company or other industry engineering and design standards.
