Job Summary

As a Technology Professional this role is an entry level role that provides college hires the opportunity to be involved in meaningful work/projects throughout the Information Technology organization. This position prepares candidates for advanced information technology positions through challenging assignments, and allows them to develop their skills and launch an exciting career in information technology. They will learn and assist in various technology projects and programs such as assisting in the development of processes and procedures related to business continuity and disaster recovery of IT systems. Participating in various projects assisting teams in ensuring systems and infrastructure plan for and incorporate required resiliency to meet business needs for high availability. In this entry level role, the successful candidate will be exposed to various IT technologies and will develop skills related to system design, integration, support and operations.

Job Responsibilities

•As a Sr Technology Professional, this role is a natural growth progression for Technology Professionals who have gained 2 or more years of relevant technology experience. They will provide technical and/or business analysis in support of technology applications or infrastructure. Analyzes simple to moderately complex inquiries and determines appropriate technical area or vendor to resolve problems and makes suggestions for improvements. Responsible for executing smaller projects and/or support tasks and typically maintain a high level of direct client interaction. Works closely with management, clients, other systems technical staff and vendors in problem solving. Consults with the supervisor and IT professionals when the appropriate course of action is unclear or a major problem is suspected. They may be responsible for operating and maintaining production systems, as well as providing hardware/software equipment support. Provides technical support and guidance to client and systems areas through consulting, teaching and publication of documentation with a focus on business continuity and disaster recovery. Participates with client and development areas in the design and implementation of new or modified systems and infrastructure. Assists clients and other IT employees ensuring business continuity is considered and planned for as new are built or existing systems are modified or enhanced. Works with client and IT teams to coordinate, monitor, track and report on disaster recovery testing. Initiates and coordinates corrective actions. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information/Computer Security, Engineering or STEM.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Level of experience required ranges from internship to 4 years of relevant experience within the IT field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.
• Overall strong technical proficiency in information technology/computer disciplines.
• Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
• Experience working with or related coursework in .NET, HTML, SQL, Java, Java scripting or Object Oriented Design.
• Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
• Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff.

Desired:

• Experience developing business process flows and soliciting business requirements
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and/or project management
• Experience designing and maintaining high availability systems or infrastructure including building and maintaining disaster recovery environments.
• Certifications in technical specialties such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc.
• Prior experience supporting a Windows environment
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows, and networking concepts such as IP networks
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls
