PSEG is seeking 6 summer interns to work in the Nuclear Maintenance teams

Salem Maintenance Interns should be in pursuit of a technical Bachelor's degree. This technical degree will be necessary to implement Nuclear maintenance activities. The interns should be of separate discipline, breakdown should be as follows:

2 Interns to support I&C - These interns should be Electrical/I&C Engineering.

2 Interns to support Electrical - These interns should be Electrical/I&C Engineering.

2 Interns to support Mechanical - These interns should be Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering.

The intern will be expected to perform the following:

Coordinating, Follow up and check work of others.

Assist Supervisors in development of new test methods, procedures, apparatus and setups to meet schedule.

Perform contractor and worker oversight roles.

Perform schedule assessments with crews and supervisors.

Assist in troubleshooting and strategies for repair of nuclear equipment.

Coordinate with supervision and vendors to perform maintenance activities.

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Controls, Nuclear, Computer), Computer Science, or similar related major. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students, staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, immigration Support will not be provided in association with these positions. As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
