Job Summary

Manage and supervise the Transmission Construction & Maintenance (TC&M) Underground team in their day-to-day work activities from the technical, safety, as well as the administrative aspect. The position requires oversight and coordination of all activities related to the successful completion of all work associated with maintenance activities, preventive as well as corrective, along with all project work, capital and O&M, along with driving new technology that with promote efficiencies within the organization. The candidate will be expected to achieve the desired results of the position through the use of PSEG's Values and Behavioral Standards, sound management practices and skills, and a demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork. Successful candidate will support the P&C Management team in accomplishing the desired scorecard results and ensure the quality of work performed is in compliance with all Company standards, procedures, safe work practices, and government laws and regulations while successfully managing TC&M Underground budget and schedule adherence.

Job Responsibilities

•Responsible and fully accountable for the daily operation of the Transmission Construction & Maintenance (TC&M) - Underground team. •Supervise MAST as well as Bargaining Unit employees. •Responsible for ensuring that daily objectives are successfully achieved safely, environmentally compliant and within expectations of the Company. Demonstrate strong leadership skills in successfully managing the TC&M team, along with interacting with all organizations that work with and interface with the TC&M UG team, such as Asset Management, Project teams, and Gas Districts. •Conduct monthly review meetings with clients. Maintain and monitor agreements, plans and schedules, conduct assignment reviews, resolve issues and get required associates and groups involved to ensure that the assigned projects / responsibilities are professionally and comprehensively planned and executed. •Coordinate the preparation of bid specifications for the procurement of material and services. •Manage contractor and vendor performance, labor relations, safety, quality control, project risk, permitting and licensing, outage planning, scope change control, environmental compliance, public relations, progress reporting, budgets, and execution. •Complete administrative responsibilities associated with the operation of the TC&M team. •Utilize Company systems to manage the TC&M team, such as PD program, SAP, etc. •Represent the Company when necessary in meetings with State and Federal Agencies, the General Public and Public Officials and Planning/Zoning Boards and other Regulatory bodies, including testimony, as required, in order to obtain necessary project approvals.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required
•High school diploma or equivalent •A minimum of four (4) years of underground transmission supervisory experience •A minimum of six (6) years of underground transmission and maintenance experience, inclusive of construction processes and safety •Good oral and written communication skills •General knowledge of basic computer applications, i.e., MS Office Suite •Will be subject to DOT random drug testing •Safety Sensitive position •On-call 24/7 hours to handle emergency work and assist during system emergency situations. As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations. •Must have a valid driver's license
Desired
•Extensive knowledge of underground transmission work including maintenance activities, construction, emergency response, and safety expectations •Understanding of PJM rules for the scheduling of Transmission Outages •Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Unit agreements - IBEW •Working knowledge of the budget process for underground transmission
